Boris Johnson calls for the G7 to work together on global threats

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson hosted a virtual meeting with leaders from the Group of Seven Nations on Friday, explaining the need for a multilateral approach to global vaccination and the fight against climate change.

Around the world, make sure everyone is getting the vaccines they need so the whole world can get through this pandemic together. I know several colleagues have already announced this idea and we in the UK strongly support it. And of course we also want to work together to better cope with the pandemic, a slogan I think Joe has used several times. I think he might have stolen it from us, but I certainly stole it from somewhere else – I think probably a UN disaster relief program – but we’d better get rid of the pandemic. I think our plan is to make sure the building gets better again, the green technology we’re going to use to fight climate change, and adding hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of new employees, we know it can produce. Jobs and growth are what we will need after this pandemic, and I think building a better business is the right way forward.
