Covid: Macron guarantees solidarity for brand new French lockdown

Schools and universities remain open and officials stay at home while President Emmanuel Macron locks France down for the whole of November.

There will also be mandatory rapid Covid-19 tests for all international arrivals at the country’s ports and airports to ensure that the virus is not introduced from other areas.

The President announced the new measures in a national address, pledging solidarity with the French citizens, adding “we will all get there together”.
