Frustration in UK ports over travel restrictions

In the UK, around 4,000 truck drivers were stuck on roads near the south-eastern English port in Dover after a 48-hour shutdown trying to prevent the spread of a variant of the coronavirus. Truckers who want to travel to France must have a negative virus test.

“We have no food, we have no drink, we have nothing – nobody does not care about us.” “But now they say about a Covid test, but there is no Covid test. And I spoke to the policeman. He said to me when you go to the Maidstone. I tell them how can we go to Maidstone when the traffic – if the truck traffic – is 200 kilometers? ” [shouting] [yelling in distress] [arguing]
