Japan’s crown prince ‘approves’ daughter’s marriage ceremony

Today, Japan’s young princesses have no choice but to marry citizens. Princess Mako seems to have put her heart into marrying her university treasure, Kei Komuro. Mr Komuro’s mother, who was neither rich nor well connected, is said to have borrowed money from her then fiancé to finance the young man’s university education. Was the money a gift or a loan?
