The social media network announced that the series is part of the package ahead of World Mental Health Day this month in new partnerships to advance research and with a new feature that will help those who deal with health issues to contact local support.
“Making mental health information more accessible is extremely important,” said Gabriella Stern, WHO communications director, on a company blog. “At the World Health Organization, we are excited to be working with Facebook to support this goal for this year’s World Mental Health Day.”
Each week, each episode features personal stories from celebrities and people struggling with mental health problems. “The work Taraji has done in the mental health field is inspiring and we are delighted that she came to our platform to learn and chat about an incredibly important topic,” said Mina Lefevre, Head of Development & Programming at Facebook Watch, in a press release. “One of our strengths at Facebook Watch is building a community and conversation about topics that matter to people, and we look forward to taking this journey together.”
