I am so embarrassed about the tall one, aka my husband. I am a grown woman who says aloud several times a day as I walk out the door, “Do you want to go potty? Do the potty! Go potty! “with sheer excitement and joy in my voice.
And to be honest, I love being a cheerleader for my pup (like I was born to do it) but that’s not why I do it.
I do it because I encourage Daisy’s positive behavior with positive reinforcement. You use my lawn for your potty instead of my office, you will be welcomed with joy and goodies. (Well, not you. That would be awful. Just my pup.)
And it worked. The puppy will act for my positive attention and her peanut butter treats. Less mess for me to clean up and more joy for my dog. However, this is not just a method for Daisy. It can work for your list too.

When someone comments on a Facebook post, do you write back a meaningful comment and thank them for commenting and appreciating the time it took to do it? Probably not. Most just like it and name it a day.
When you get an email back from someone after posting one to your list, do you respond with appreciation for the person who wrote it? Most don’t reply to the positive emails they receive. Instead, they just focus on the problem customers.
What if you get a sale, referral, or repeat customer? How do you know their behavior so that they want to do it again?
Most of the time, when we’re making a purchase, sending a path to a customer, or choosing to be a patron of something again, we never hear from the seller. It’s hard to feel that our dollars really matter to them.
What if you acted differently and made your clients, clients, or patients feel special about their decision to give you their business and time, so that they would be encouraged to do so? It might be exactly what makes them choose you over everyone next time.
