Registered Democrats have reportedly outvoted registered Republicans so far – more than twice as many ballots. And of these Democrats, women and black Americans vote particularly often. Some are motivated by dislike of Donald Trump, while others have been fueled by protests against racial justice all summer after George Floyd was killed by police in Minnesota.
