Video footage shows the moment when one of the largest telescopes in the world collapsed on Tuesday at the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico.
It had been in operation for 57 years but was closed after engineers warned of the deterioration in structure earlier this year.
No injuries were reported as a result of the collapse.
