Pig intestines were thrown and a fight broke out in the Taiwanese parliament over easing US pork imports.
The government has been criticized for a recent decision to allow pork containing ractopamine into the country.
The ractopamine additive is currently banned for use by pigs in Taiwan, China and the European Union due to animal and human safety concerns.
