Tessa Thompson, Yara Shahidi, Storm Reid, Kelly McCreary, Oswin Benjamin and Lil ‘Yachty will appear in the series finale Tuesday of Zoom Where It Happens, directed by Golden Globe winners Emmy, Tony and Debbie Allen.
The live desktop reading series, presented by black female artists to raise awareness and activation for voting rights, ends with the sixth and final issue on October 27th at 6:00 p.m. PST / 9:00 p.m. EST in collaboration with Zoom.
The episode will reinterpret A Different World, with Allen costarring, Emmy nominee Stephanie Allain producing and Shahidi hosting.
In the Tuesday episode, Thompson will play Kinu, McCreary will play Whitley, Reid will play Freddie and Jaleesa, Allen will play Adele, Benjamin will play Dwayne Wayne, and Lil Yachty will play as Ron.

The production team for this series consists of Thompson, Ryan Bathe, Aisha Hinds, Cynthia Erivo, Kerry Washington, Rashida Jones, Stefanie and Quentin James, Latanya Richardson-Jackson, Channing Dungey, Karen Richardson, Issa Rae and Ava DuVernay.
Zoom Where It Happens launched on September 8 with an episode of Golden Girls that drew more than 100,000 RSVPs. The series returned on September 22nd with a makeover of Friends that included a livestream to YouTube once Zoom reached its registration capacity.
Subsequent episodes included 227 on October 6, Sanford and Son on October 13, and a special roundtable to vote on October 20. The series is funded by the non-profit ARRAY Alliance with material funds from Zoom.
To gain access to the free show, viewers register with their cell phone numbers and log in to receive ongoing voting information from various social impact organizations. This week’s episode will connect viewers to Supermajority, a membership-based organization that empowers and empowers women and serves as a focal point for advocacy, community building and voter turnout to transform our country and an intergenerational, multicultural movement for building up women’s justice.
ARRAY was founded in 2010 by Ava DuVernay and is a film collective dedicated to reinforcing images by colored people and directors. Now in its tenth year, ARRAY Releasing focuses on the diffusion of narrative and documentary work on the grassroots through various voices.
