CBS Claims Trump Supporters Plan to ‘Storm the Capitol’ With ‘Weapons’
The CBS Evening News carried their hatred of Trump supporters up their sleeves on Tuesday when anchor Norah O’Donnell and White House correspondent Weijia Jiang alleged without evidence that pro-Trump protesters were in Washington on Wednesday DC gathered, intending to bring “guns” and weapons to “Storm the Capitol” building in some kind of coup attempt.
O’Donnell pushed the vague speculations very early on in the program. During her opening review of the stories they would be covering, O’Donnell reported: “Now tens of thousands of the president’s supporters who disagree with the election result are expected to gather in front of the Capitol tomorrow. With growing concern tonight, violence could break out. ”
Where did CBS get this information from? According to Jiang, it was none of your business, who only said it was given to her by an anonymous “senior defense officer.”
“And Weijia is coming to us from the White House because I understand that you are hearing that there is information about possible violence tomorrow. What did you learn? “O’Donnell addressed Jiang at the end of her report about President Trump’s efforts to pressure Vice President Pence.
Jiang just quoted allegations made by an official she refused to identify, and creepily proclaimed that Trump supporters protesting were looking for blood. “Norah, tonight a senior defense official told CBS News that all social media are telling protesters to storm the Capitol and reports that some of them will bring guns.” She said.
In addition, Jiang also explained how the president encouraged his followers to use their first adjustment right to peacefully assemble in the nation’s capital. “Local authorities are urging people to stay away from downtown, but President Trump is encouraging his supporters to protest and even plans to give a speech with them tomorrow morning. She whined.
While CBS was busy vilifying President Trump’s supporters, they refused to report on the family of Republican Senator Josh Hawley (MO) attacked by anti-fascist terrorists at their DC residence, yelling at his wife and destroying his property.
“You screamed through megaphones, shouted my wife down when she asked you to leave, destroyed property, knocked on our door and terrorized neighbors,” said the senator wrote on Twitter. “And didn’t have the courage to do it in daylight, but only under cover of darkness so that you can hide. You are scum. And we won’t be intimidated. “
