Followers Concern Elliot Web page And His Spouse Emma Portner Are Being Cyberbullied As She Deletes Instagram Account
Fans are concerned that Elliot Page and Emma Portner have been cyberbullying since Elliot revealed his gender to the world. On December 1, 2020, Elliot Page (formerly known as Ellen Page) shared a post announcing that he would live his authentic life and use the pronouns he / she and she / she would. In the message, Elliot talked about the bullying he expected. Elliot has been married to Emma Portner since 2018 and on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, Emma suddenly deleted her Instagram account. Now many are wondering if the rude comments left on both Emma and Elliot’s social media pages were the reason for the deletion.
The deletion of Emma’s account comes after she publicly endorsed Elliot’s bravery and decision to appear transgender. On Tuesday afternoon, Elliot Page’s Instagram account was still online.
When Elliot made his announcement, he expressed both his joy and fear – including a fear of violence. Elliot explained the following.
My joy is real, but it is also fragile. The truth is that while I feel deeply happy right now and know how privileged I am, I am also scared. I’m afraid of the invasiveness, the hatred, the “jokes” and the violence.

It’s unclear why Emma Portner deleted her Instagram account. Perhaps it’s the “invasiveness” that Elliot talked about in his post. Perhaps it’s the negative, cruel, and hateful comments that some people keep spitting out.
Emma publicly declared her support for Elliot and responded to the initial announcement by saying, “I love you so much, Elliot.”
When Elliot posted his first public photo since his announcement on Instagram, he wrote, “See you in 2021.”
It’s also possible the couple planned to take a break from social media until the New Year.
With Emma and Elliot in the public spotlight, and with Elliot publicly announcing his transgender journey, some fans are concerned that cyberbullying and hate are the real reasons Emma deleted her Instagram account.
