Joe Biden Will Ask Individuals For 100 Days Of Masks-Sporting On First Day Of Presidency

TSR Policy: President-elect Joe Biden gets to the point about the pandemic the moment he takes office. He announced today that he will ask the American public to wear a mask for 100 days on his inauguration day next January.

“… Not forever, just 100 days. And I think we’re going to see a significant reduction in the virus, ”Biden said during an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper.

We don’t need to tell you that this is a total shift in leadership from what Trump did. Often stressing the importance of wearing masks as a “patriotic duty,” Biden has introduced a nationwide mask mandate rather than leaving it to state and local governments.

Biden also announced today that he will join Dr. Anthony Fauci has asked to remain in his administration, “in exactly the same role he had in the past several presidents” as director of the National Institute for Allergies and Infectious Diseases, the country’s highest infection ministry. Disease expert, according to ABC News.

Biden said he asked Fauci to be a “chief physician” as well as part of his COVID-19 advisory team.

Regarding a coronavirus vaccine, Biden said he would be “excited” to be publicly vaccinated to address concerns about its effectiveness and safety to the public. We reported earlier this morning that three former presidents – Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton – said they would also be publicly vaccinated to show that it was safe.

“People have lost confidence in the vaccine’s ability to work,” said Biden, adding, “It’s important what a president and a vice president do.”

Biden’s inauguration day is January 20, 2021, which prepares for some kind of monumental day, especially given that Kamala Harris will be the first black and Indian-American woman in the White House, as well as the first woman to hold that role as Vice President (to the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha!)

We’ll be reporting on that day and the events leading up to it, so stay tuned!
