Juice WRLD’s Mom Pens A Heartfelt Message In Honor Of World Psychological Well being Day: “You Do Not Have To Endure Alone”

Roommate, World Mental Health Day is designed to raise awareness about mental health education and have more conversations against the social stigma of battling mental health issues. In honor of the day and the unfortunate death of her son Juice WRLD, Carmela Wallace has just announced a foundation to help with mental health problems in underserved communities.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Live Free 999 Fund is committed to developing programs to combat addiction, anxiety, and depression, and to normalize conversation about these topics. The site launched less than a year after Juice WRLD passed away at the age of 21 due to an accidental overdose.

Carmela says she started the foundation because she recognized her son’s problems and hopes other parents will feel inspired by the way she supports their own child.

“I think he felt comfortable being honest with me because I never judged him,” she writes. “I realized that Jarad was an illness and I know that he really wanted to be free from the demons that tormented him. As a parent, I believed early on and helped Jarad access counseling. I encouraged him to always share his feelings. “

Carmela continues with a clear message to parents and children, saying, “My message to parents and children is simple. You don’t have to suffer alone. You don’t need to be ashamed of your mental health problems. There is help. There is a way out. “

“If we can help even a mother and her son or daughter through our work here, Jarad’s death will have meaning and his positive, loving, creative spirit will endure.”

Please keep the mother of Juice WRLD and the rest of his loved ones in your prayers during this time, Roomies. And remember to be kind as you never know what someone is struggling with.
