Thanksgiving may look a little different this year as the Covid-19 pandemic is preventing families from reuniting to eat turkey, but Macy’s will continue its annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday in a modified way.

The 94th annual event features gigs and appearances by Dolly Parton, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots and more, and will opt for a virtual redesign of the Fall Meet – no crowds or even a parade route. Mario Lopez will host the event. Most of these are taped on a block on 34th Street near Macy’s flagship Herald Square store this week, and only about a quarter of the usual attendees use it to protect against virus transmission.

The three-hour event will also feature casts from the Broadway shows Jagged Little Pill, Mean Girls and Hamilton. Other talents include Tori Kelly, Patti LaBelle, Matthew Morrison, Leslie Odom Jr., Keke Palmer, Jordin Sparks, and the New York City Rockettes (minus their usual kick-lines thanks to social distancing).

Home enthusiasts can watch the annual parade on NBC. Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker will moderate the program from 9 a.m. in all time zones. The event will also be broadcast in Spanish on Telemundo, hosted by Admari Lopez, Jessica Carrillo, Rodner Figuero and Nastassia Bolivar. An encore presentation is set for 2-5 p.m. in all time zones.

If you want to take advantage of the holiday spectacle on the Internet, you can visit Verizon’s digital platforms, including YouTube, on which the live stream will be broadcast from 9 ET. You can watch this stream here:

For the first time in the parade’s history, NBCUniversal will provide live audio description on the secondary audio program channel for blind and visually impaired viewers.

Brad Lachman Productions produces Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. Lachman is executive producer, Bill Bracken is co-executive producer, and Ron de Moraes is director.
