‘Love Island’ To Be Tailored By Discovery In Italy – .

ITV Studios hit Love Island will receive its 18th international remake after Discovery commissioned an Italian version of the reality show.

Fremantle will adapt the show for Discovery and premier next year. It is followed by CBS in the US, who are reimagining the BAFTA-winning dating format in which singletons mate in a sun-drenched mansion.

Maarten Meijs, President Global Entertainment at ITV Studios, said: “After another successful season in the US and recently announced new assignments in Nigeria to Spain, Love Island is traveling the world successfully and quickly.

“There is a high demand for this format, which can already be seen in 4 new orders this year. We look forward to working with Discovery as we’ve already seen the show work equally well on linear, digital, and catch-up platforms. “

The deal was brokered by Laura Rhodarmer, SVP, the global entertainment licensed at ITV Studios.
