The belated, beloved danger! Host Alex Trebek has a Thanksgiving message for America: “Keep the faith. We’ll get through all of this and be a better society as a result. “
The game show has a clip from today’s holiday Jeopardy! Episode Trebek recorded before his death from pancreatic cancer on November 8th.
Trebek addresses the audience directly, as was his custom at the end of the show. His voice is noticeably scratchy and without explicitly mentioning the Covid 19 pandemic: “Happy Thanksgiving, ladies and gentlemen. You know, despite what America and the rest of the world are going through, there are many reasons to be grateful. There are more and more people who put out helping hands to show kindness to their neighbors, and that is a good thing. Keep the faith. We’ll get through all of this and be a better sodality through it. “
In a touching message on the tweet video, the Jeopardy account states: “At the top of our list of things to be thankful for this year: Alex’s Thanksgiving message from today’s show. We hope you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving Day! “
Jeopardy producers have said that Trebek has 35 Jeopardy! Episodes in the weeks before his death, in which new episodes moderated by Trebek are to be broadcast until Christmas.
