Marching With Antifa, CNN Claims Not ‘Peaceable’ However Not ‘Violent’

While participating in an antifa terrorist march through the streets of the Adams Morgan neighborhood in Washington DC, Alex Marquardt tried to spin their mayhem and violence for CNN Tonight host Don Lemon. “As of now, I’m not going to say it was peaceful, but it wasn’t entirely violent“He suggested when he admitted the police had opened riot gear.

The march was in response to a decision by a grand jury in Kentucky not to indict any Louisville police officer on the death of Breonna Taylor. Marquardt’s goal, of course, was to have the DC Metro Police appear as the attacker for putting on riot gear. And that’s what he did while knocking the umbrella out of the face of an Antifa member:

Good – [bats umbrella out of his face] – Don, we’ve been marching with these White House protesters for about an hour. And I have to tell you, just since you were in the air for the last few moments, this has taken a turn for a much more violent march. And I just want Adelfo [the cameraman] turn around here. This is the line of the riot police. So far we have not seen any police in this type of equipment. And that really showed that there was a significant escalation. In just the last few moments.

It is unclear what triggered this police reaction. As of now, I’m not going to say it was peaceful, but it wasn’t entirely violent“Marquardt announced as he passed the camera past an outdoor dining area with upturned tables and chairs and scared guests.

The CNN reporter accidentally revealed how stupid he was, why officials wore protective clothing, and admitted that he had seen people. “tapping street signs with batons and bats. Fireworks were fired. We saw graffiti sprayed on a variety of buildings. And even seen an Antifa flag waving and waving well before the march. ” [The flag is pictured above but was from a different live-shot an hour later.]

In response to what his husband had shown him, Lemon said he saw some “chaos” but suggested, “it doesn’t look particularly violent. “Then he wondered if the police reaction was an overreaction.

Marquardt continued to paint officers as sources of hostility and related how he watched an anti-fascist terrorist being arrested. He would later admit watching Antifa members arm themselves up and discuss their “tactics”:

I think we saw a young man taken into custody. Apart from that, there were no violent clashes with the police. The police do not wear gas masks. This is usually a sign that, at least for now, they have no plans to fire tear gas. But the protesters themselves, when we left the White House, started putting on helmets and goggles. And start talking about a close group. And, frankly, talk about marching tactics.

“At least it is clear that there is a possibility that things could get violent,” he concluded when Lemon told him to “stay safe”.

CNN’s march with anti-fascist terrorists was made possible by lucrative sponsorships from Chevrolet, Caravan, and ADT security services. Their contact information is linked so you can let them know about the biased news they’re funding.

DON LEMON: Alex Marquardt reports for us from Washington, DC, where protesters are near the Capitol. Alex, you marched with the protesters. What do you see, what do you hear from these demonstrators? What do you say about this judgment?

ALEX MARQUARDT: Well – [bats umbrella out of his face] – Don, we’ve been marching with these White House protesters for about an hour.

Now, in response, the protesters have started to go that route. It is unclear what triggered this police reaction. As of now, I’m not going to say it was peaceful, but it wasn’t entirely violent. Since you left – Adelfo, follow me down here.

Ever since leaving the White House, where it was a quieter, darker, and more peaceful march, these protesters, dozens of them, have marched through some of the most beautiful parts of DC. Through neighborhoods with restaurants, bars and apartments singing all sorts of things. Anti-gentrification slogans. Anti-police slogans. Some have hit street signs with batons and bats. Fireworks were fired. We saw graffiti sprayed on a variety of buildings. And even seen an Antifa flag waving and waving well before the march. We are now at the end of the march.

Again, Don, we started this march at the White House about an hour ago. We’re in Adams Morgan now. There had been no confrontation with the police until about five minutes ago. The police allowed this crowd to go essentially wherever they wanted. To accompany them. You can see cops on bikes here. You are not in combat gear.

But Don, as you know, there comes a point, usually during the protests, where you wonder which direction it’s going to go. Will it stay peaceful, relatively calm? Which was. Or is it going to be violent? What we saw evidence of. Right now that crowd goes on through Adams Morgan, here in Washington, DC, Don.

LEMON: So where you are now, I mean, it doesn’t look particularly violent. It looks like there’s chaos there, Alex. Is there a stronger police presence or a police reaction? Talk to me about it.

MARQUARDT: Yes. It was much stronger. And the reason it looks quieter is frankly that the march had continued when the police moved in. The police sang “withdraw”. And they went back. The crowd has certainly shown no signs of breaking up or going home. You just move on. You didn’t deal with the police.

At least it is clear that there is a possibility that things could get violent. Of course we’ll see where it’s going. The march continues for the time being.

LEMON: Alex Marquardt. We’ll get back to you. Alex, stay safe.
