Meghan Markle Reveals She Suffered A Miscarriage In July: “I Knew As I Clutched My Firstborn Little one, I Was Shedding My Second”

TSR Prayers Up: Roommate, we want you all to send love and light to Meghan Markle and her family as she just revealed she suffered a great loss over the summer. In a recent article for the New York Times, Meghan says she sadly lost her second child in July.

“After I changed his diaper, I felt a sharp spasm,” she says of Baby Archie. “I dropped to the floor with him in my arms and hummed a lullaby to keep us both calm. The happy melody was a stark contrast to my feeling that something was wrong. I know when I was clutching my firstborn child, I lost my second. “

Meghan describes how she feels broken and realizes that a large number of women suffer from miscarriages and, sadly, do not have the support needed to overcome this type of pain.

“Losing a child means having to endure an almost unbearable grief that many people experience but few speak of. In the pain of our loss, my husband and I found that 100 women, 10 to 20 of them, would have miscarried in one room, ”she writes. “Despite the amazing commonality of this pain, the conversation remains taboo, full of (unjustified) shame and continues a cycle of lonely grief.”

Meghan Markle also referred to an interview with ITN in 2019 where she talked about “exhaustion”, her experiences with breastfeeding and “trying to keep a brave face for the public”. The journalist asked if she was okay – something Meghan said not many people took the time to ask.

“Not many people have asked if I’m fine … it’s a very real thing to go through behind the scenes.”
