‘Pupil Driver’ Motion Comedy From Peter Hoare Lands At Netflix – .

EXCLUSIVE: Netflix has acquired the comedy feature film Student Driver, an original pitch by Peter Hoare (Standing Up, Falling Down) and Jason Batemans Aggregate Films.

Heard that Student Driver is an action comedy where a substitute driver’s teacher and his students go on a crazy adventure.

Aggregate Films is producing the film, which is currently in early development. Tracey Nyberg brought in the project and is responsible for aggregates. Netflix declined to comment.

Hoare leaves his family jewelery sale to New Republic with Diane Keaton, Bette Midler and Goldie Hawn. He wrote the CBS sitcom Kevin Can Wait and also wrote the script for the comedy film Standing Up, Falling Down with Billy Crystal, which premiered at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival. He is again overseen by Verve, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Goodman Genow Schenkman.

Newacheck directed the hit Netflix comedy Murder Mystery starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston and is preparing to direct additional episodes of What We Do in the Shadows. He will again be overseen by WME, Avalon Management and Morris Yorn.

Aggregate Films is preparing Your Place Or Mine with Reese Witherspoon, a romantic comedy for Netflix that marks the directorial debut of Aline Brosh McKenna, and is also behind FX’s A Teacher, directed and executive by Hannah Fidell, which is currently streamed on Hulu. The aggregate is reassembled by CAA and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren, Richman, Rush, Kaller and Gelman.
