Ray Fisher Slams WarnerMedia’s Ann Sarnoff Following ‘Justice League’ Probe Feedback – .

Actor Ray Fisher has been pretty pleased on social media lately, promoting the HBO Max feature film Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut.

That changed tonight, however, when he targeted Ann Sarnoff, CEO of WarnerMedia Studios, regarding her latest testimony in a Variety interview about the studio’s investigation into Joss Whedon’s alleged wrongdoing during the production of the DC film four years ago.

Sarnoff was asked by Variety’s Brent Lang if the studio’s investigation into Whedon confirmed Fisher’s allegations of racism on behalf of the studio’s staff. Fisher made his first social media allegations against Whedon last July, accusing the filmmaker who replaced Snyder of “gross, abusive, unprofessional and completely unacceptable” behavior. Fisher also went to great lengths to point a finger at Justice League producers Geoff Johns and Jon Berg who he says enabled Whedon. WarnerMedia conducted an internal investigation at Fisher’s insistence late last year and announced in December that “the Justice League film investigation has been completed and remedial action has been taken”.

“Our investigator, Judge Katherine Forrest, made statements specifically to Walter Hamada (President of DC Films) saying that there was no evidence of Walter interfering in the investigation. She said the cuts in the Joss Whedon version of the Justice League were not racially motivated. We took it very seriously, so we hired one of the best female investigators and gave her a lot of leeway, ”Sarnoff told Variety.

Variety also asked if the WarnerMedia boss knew of an NDA signed by Fisher preventing him from publicly sharing any more unsavory details about what happened on Whedon’s watch during the Justice League. Sarnoff replied that she was not aware of such an NDA.

She also mentioned that Hamada Fisher was offered a role in the upcoming Flash movie.

In a series of five tweets, Fisher blew up:

“Apparently some people at @WarnerMedia think that a room full of executives is saying,” We can’t see an angry black man in the middle of the movie (and then reduce / remove all blacks and POC from this movie) is not racist. Strange, ”wrote the cyborg actor.

The investigator hired by @WarnerMedia was created to support the company in assessing and circumventing legal obligations. It is obvious and desperate to announce her former federal judge status to sway public opinion. She’s just a lawyer now, ”he continued.

“Like I said, people will try to blame Joss Whedon for the Justice League re-admissions. Toby Emmerich, Geoff Johns and Jon Berg share this responsibility; Johns is working directly with Joss to reorganize the script based on the convos of executives, ”added Fisher.

“Also, ‘There was really nothing Walter did against Ray, in fact he offered him a role in the Flash movie.” AND “Walter happens to be a black person, so he knows how that feels.” are the absolute definition of deaf, ”he continued.

“Last thought for now, instead of trying to convince people what the Justice League investigation did NOT find, how about you tell them what they did?” The public is way smarter than what you give them credit for. The proof is there. More soon. A> E. ”

While Fisher hasn’t detailed the specifics of what went sideways on the Justice League set, WarnerMedia – except for the actor’s point – hasn’t released its findings either. Fisher has continued to rail against Hamada as an accessory to this mess. However, the executive had no oversight of the Justice League when it was initially in production as he was a New Line manager at the time.

During his rant against WarnerMedia, Fisher was recruited by the studio to re-record the Snyder cut in October, the latest in his four-hour narrative that strongly portrayed the actor’s cyborg character arc.

WarnerMedia has no further comments on Fisher’s Slamming by Sarnoff tonight.

Apparently some people at @WarnerMedia think that a room full of executives who say, “We can’t have an angry black man at the center of the movie” (and then reduce / remove all black and POC from this movie) is not racist.

Strange.

The investigator commissioned by @WarnerMedia was called in to support the company in assessing and circumventing legal obligations.

It is obvious and desperate to announce her former federal judge status to sway public opinion.

Like I said – people will try to blame Joss Whedon for the Justice League re-admissions.

Toby Emmerich, Geoff Johns and Jon Berg share this responsibility; Johns is working directly with Joss on restructuring the script based on executive convos.

Final thought for now:

Instead of trying to convince people what the Justice League investigation didn’t find out, how about you tell them what they did?

The public is way smarter than what you give them credit for.

The proof is there.

More soon.
