Sister Souljah Is Dropping A Sequel To ‘The Coldest Winter Ever’ Following Winter’s Life After Jail Bid

The privilege of reading Sister Souljah’s Coldest Winter Ever is like a right of passage for many black and brown girls. Even if you weren’t a great reader in school, there’s no denying that the legendary novel was a real page turner.

It’s been 20 years since Sister Souljah published her debut novel, and fans of the book are still wondering what happened to Brooklyn’s own winter Santiaga. Well – don’t be surprised anymore!

Sister Souljah drops a sequel to her bestselling novel, titled “The Afterlife,” which chronicles the life of Winter as she nears the completion of her prison offer.

“The fans fell in love with the unforgettable winter of Santiaga, the daughter of a prominent drug trafficking family in Brooklyn who fascinated their lovers, friends and enemies with their sexy street smarts,” reads the description of the upcoming book. “For two decades now, fans have been asking for answers about what happened to Winter.”

The book is said to be full of passion, danger, temptation, and adventure from Sister Souljah.

“With the end of her prison sentence, Winter is ready to step back into the limelight and regain her throne.”

“Life after death” is scheduled to fall in March 2021.

This is possibly the most exciting piece of “Coldest Winter Ever” news since those tired rumors of a possible film adaptation of the novel in the works.

Everyone who has read the book has found their ideal cast for the film. Heck, we even made our offer to see who we think should be cast in a “Coldest Winter Ever” movie alongside our other favorite young adult novel, “Flyy Girl”.

Even if we don’t get a movie, we’re definitely here to see a sequel to one of our beloved books.
