Southwest Airways Worker Presents Youngsters With Toys Throughout Vacation Season

It’s the holiday season! It’s not every day that kids get a free gift when they catch a flight! Thanks to Southwest Airlines employee Nate Jordan of Las Vegas, Nevada kids are flying and getting new toys this holiday season.

Nate Jordan exclusively tells The Shade Room that he’s been running his own toy ride for 3 years. It all started with a simple gesture of handing a crying kid a VIP Disneyland pin to calm them down during the flight.

“I took off my pin and handed it [it] to him and told him to keep it forever and let him know [it] was my VIP pin from Disneyland. That automatically stopped him from crying and put a smile on his face. From that day on, I knew that only the little things help put a smile on the children’s faces. “

After seeing how much the simple gesture helped the child, Nate bought toys to give away to children during the holiday season.

“The next day, I bought a lot of toys, Christmas hats, coloring books, etc. to give to the flying kids.”

When the children receive the gifts, they are thrilled! “The children are overwhelmed when they see the sled full of toys. The children start screaming with joy and hug me and their parents. A little girl cried today and kept saying, “Oh my god, oh my god” as I handed her the scooter.

The parents are also grateful for his kindness that he tells us. “Parents tell me how they lost their jobs and the little things I do put a smile on their child’s face.”

While being recognized by Southwest for his gift, Nate Jordan exclusively tells us that he bought thousands of toys with his own money.

“My senior management took photos today and sent them to headquarters. And no help [from] my company that I don’t mind. It’s 100% out of my own pocket. “

Good to see that there are still some good ones in 2020.
