The Two “Aunt Vivs” Face-Off In New Video For The “Contemporary Prince Of Bel-Air” 30th Anniversary Particular

Roommate, it took nearly 30 years, but Janet Hubert finally buried her decade-long feud with Will Smith and was officially on board the 30th anniversary special, Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air. But that’s not all, because the second “Aunt Viv” was also there and the two women met for the first time to the delight of many fans.

It’s no secret that Janet Hubert and Will Smith have had an extremely difficult relationship since they first starred together on the first three seasons of the classic ’90s sitcom Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

When it became known that the show was doing a special for HBO Max to mark its 30th anniversary, the first question many fans asked was if Hubert (who played the original role of “Aunt Viv” so well) would be there.

Well, not only was she there, but she was facing the woman she was replacing, Daphne Maxwell Reid. In a cute video to advertise the special, the two women sit on the “Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air” set. Reid sits down on a chair and disappears as soon as Hubert comes into the picture and sits in the same place. Will Smith is seen in the background with a funny reaction.

The special, which will air on HBO Max on November 18, also features an intense conversation between Will and Hubert as they eventually discuss the well-documented tension between them without any of the other cast members.

It’s the closure that’s been in the works for decades and we’re sure fans will enjoy the trip back in time.
