‘Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)’ Rapper Silento Charged With Murdering His Cousin

Silento, the rapper famous for the popular dance and song “Watch Me (Whip / Nae Nae)”, is behind bars after being arrested and charged with the murder of his cousin’s death, according to authorities.

The 23-year-old rapper is accused of killing 34-year-old Frederick Rooks, according to DeKalb County police. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Silento was sent to DeKalb County Jail for a murder.

Authorities discovered the victim in the early hours of January 21 in the Panthersville area, where she was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators said they believed Rooks knew the residents of one of the houses in the area where his body was found.

“After a thorough investigation, the DKPD detectives (Silento) identified Rooks ‘cousin and the person responsible for Rooks’ murder,” police said.

The responding officers were able to collect videos from the security cameras of several residents, according to the incident report. These videos showed several cars fleeing the scene at high speed, and the footage recorded at least one shot.

According to the report, eight cartridge cases were collected at the crime scene.

According to the authorities, it is currently unclear what Silento’s motive for the shooting was.

However, this is not the first time that Silento has broken the law. Silento was back in California in September because of a domestic violence incident. He was accused of threatening people with a hatchet while looking for his girlfriend. You can read all about it here.
