CNN Touts Declare Trump ‘Desires to Lose,’ ‘Anxious About Getting Arrested’

CNN appears to be invested in spreading fake news, constantly promoting articles that beat up President Trump but have no evidence or sources behind them. The latest point picked up by New York Magazine’s left-wing network quotes a “friend” of the president who claims that Trump doesn’t really want to win the election.

On Friday, New Day co-host John Berman was happy about further allegations in the article: “… he wants to lose, he has no more money, he was worried about being arrested, he was worried about being murdered , they said. It wasn’t a great experience for him. He liked showing people around the White House, but not the day-to-day business of being President.

Do you remember when journalists were covering the facts and had sources to support their claims? CNN loved promoting the various articles of The New York Times and its 1,104 unnamed “senior” administrative officials. The partisan network will even trumpet well-known trumpet sources such as Miles ‘Anonymous’ Taylor.

An article in New York Magazine had no named source, but that didn’t stop Berman from thinking about it. He declared wildly, “This is a damn article and some amazing quotes that got so much attention. In that one quote we’re reading, there are six things that I want to address. “

Olivia Nuzzi, the author of the article, then appeared on the show to talk about the great hit track. Berman was happy to be planning further attacks on the president: “Now he’s worried about being arrested. Explain this part. Nuzzi was pleased to continue the speculation: “He legally used the presidency as a shield to protect himself. … Check out the list of Trump employees who joined the White House from the start of the 2016 campaign.” found themselves in legal danger. It’s pretty long. “

Nuzzi eagerly piled up:

And I could imagine that I am speculating, but I could imagine that the president would see defeat as somehow different and shameful than losing the election itself. And I also think we have to remember that this is a reality TV guy. He understands high drama. And that’s the series finale. And maybe he wants to pull it out a bit and have these litigation that his heart isn’t really in because he wants to pull out the drama that only he can really create as President of the United States.

It used to be the job of journalists like Berman and Nuzzi to report on facts and information and not to speculate wildly in order to fit their narrative. Unfortunately, this has become commonplace on DNC-focused CNN.

JOHN BERMAN: Eight days since President Trump uttered a word out loud in public has left many speculating about what he thinks when he thinks. A Trump insider told reporter Olivia Nuzzi, quoted, that he wanted to lose, he was out of money, he was worried about being arrested, he was worried about being murdered, they said. It wasn’t a great experience for him. He liked showing people around the White House, but the real day-to-day business of being President. It was pretty uncomfortable for him. Olivia Nuzzi comes to us now. She is the Washington correspondent for New York Magazine. Olivia, thank you for being with us. This is a fucking article and some amazing quotes that got so much attention. In that one quote we’re reading, there are about six things that I want to go into. “He wants to lose.” What does that mean?

OLIVIA NUZZI [Washington Correspondent, New York Magazine]: This is something that Trump’s friends and allies and even some White House staff have long speculated about. That he is not happy as president, that he may not like the job he has as president, even though he likes the status that he has as president. He does not enjoy doing typical tasks of the president. He thinks it’s pretty boring. And that he doesn’t really want to continue. And often during the campaign, for example, when he did a particularly lackluster performance at a rally or when he appeared to be in a particularly bad mood, it was something White House and campaign staff, as well as people outside the formal Trump apparatus, would speculate above.

BERMAN: Now he’s worried about being arrested. That is also something as CNN reports Jamie Gangel reports that President Trump spoke about 2017 or asked questions about whether or not he can forgive himself. Explain this part.

NUZZI: Well, that’s something we’ve asked for for years, as far as we know. And that’s before Jamie’s reporting. But when he is no longer in office he obviously faces new legal threats and there is a new possibility that he will be investigated and forced to hand over documents that he was previously able to avoid. He has legally used the chairmanship as a shield to protect himself. And if that is no longer available to him, there is a number of active investigations going on in New York and elsewhere that he is likely to be very concerned about. Check out the list of Trump employees in legal danger from the start of the 2016 campaign to the White House. It’s pretty long. And I’m sure he knows and is aware of it and thinks about it when he is told to admit and prepare to leave office.

BERMAN: So if he wants to lose, as you are told, what does he do? Then why, if he did not admit, did he at least not hinder the Biden transition? And that’s something I’m fixated on. Why didn’t he say a word out loud in public for eight days?

NUZZI: I think it’s pretty confusing, but one of the things that the president’s friend said to me that doesn’t get quite as much attention as the other quotes you mentioned is that the president felt this Person is okay to lose. but he doesn’t agree to quit. That is the difference. It’s not quite the same when he’s no longer when he’s the outgoing president.

BERMAN: I’ll say some series finals stink. See Game of Thrones. I mean, sometimes it’s just better to deal with the class. There are many things in this article. One of the things that I think is so interesting is what you hear from people in the White House about yourself and the atmosphere inside. I want to read this. You write, “I received messages from several staff members saying they would count down the days of freedom when the environment they entered and willingly stayed in had so much to tell that it was too late to matter to play.” “” That’s pretty interesting. These people fall for themselves to tell you these things. What’s going on here?

NUZZI: Well, people know there will be life after Trump. This life is long, and it certainly is long in Washington. And that they have to do some kind of reputation tour. And I don’t find it surprising. I think there is exactly this class of anti-professional activists in the White House, and in this White House they are certainly anti-professional who want to maintain their status, maintain their relationships with the people they may have while publicly attacked this government. And they want jobs when it’s all over. And now, you know, we hear from White House officials looking for new jobs, and you know, the impression seems like everyone around the President knows it’s over and is preparing for it’s over but the President is just not ready to admit that.

BERMAN: Olivia Nuzzi, thank you very much for coming to see us this morning. It’s a great article. Thank you for your knowledge. Really appreciate it.
