CNN’s Cuomo Lastly Addresses Brother’s Scandals, He Will not Be Masking Them

CNN’s Chris “Fredo” Cuomo kicked off prime time Monday by speaking up in time for multiple sexual harassment allegations made by his brother, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) a third young woman accusing him of unwanted sexual advances. The announcement? That he won’t cover up any of the allegations against him.

Two weeks ago it was announced that CNN had conveniently chosen to do so reintroduce a ban to stop Chris from reporting on Andrew’s death scandal at the nursing home. The timing has been perfect since then. Since then, young women have repeatedly come forward with allegations of sexual harassment against the governor.

“Before we start tonight, let me say something that I am sure will be very obvious to you who are watching my show, and thank you for that. You are right with me I’m right with you, “Chris said to his audience. “Of course I know what’s wrong with my brother. And of course I can’t cover it because he’s my brother. “

Chris then promised that CNN would continue to cover his scandalous brother while he would cover other important stories:

Now, of course, CNN has to cover that. You have covered it extensively and will continue to do so. I have always dealt with these topics very intensively and deeply. I just wanted to tell you that.

There is a lot of news that is also important. So let’s go after that.

From there, he immediately set about beating up the weekend CPAC meeting in Orlando, Florida. “This weekend conference was more like a circle. There were all kinds of evil ideas about how to avenge Trump’s loss. Ideas on how to punish those in the group who are not yet on one bent knee, ”he scoffed.

This, of course, came after Chris helped boost his brother’s image in the early days of the pandemic by conducting multiple interviews with him. The most notorious interview came shortly after the first nursing home death scandal in May 2020. Chris completely ignored the story while he was talking pulled out huge cotton swaps to mock the size of his brother’s nose for taking a COVID test on TV.

It took Chris over a month to bring up the scandal during an interview with Andrew. “Nursing homes, people died there. They didn’t have to, it was poorly managed and the operators were given immunity. What do you have to say about it? ” he pressed weakly.

In hindsight, Chris admitted that he was not objective in reporting his family. “Unusual times, right? He’s my big brother, I love him of course, I’m not objective, but let’s make it clear. Look at the state, ”he said.

As expected, Chris’ comments on Monday were widely criticized and analyzed on social media. But National Review Editor Rich Lowry, perhaps, said it best while quoting Fredo, “‘Of course I can’t cover it because he’s my brother’ would have been a pretty good rule to start with.”
