Devoted Pleasure Behar Believes Biden Will Clear up Border Disaster: ‘I Have My Cash on Joe!’

The liberal presenters of The View commented on President Biden’s “Kids in Cages” on the show on Friday. Despite many angry outbursts from ABC co-hosts Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin about the Trump administration’s handling of illegal immigrant minors crossing the border, they could not find any harsh criticism of President Biden’s vicious border crisis.

Ana Navarro, co-host on Friday, downplayed the Biden government’s “problem” while arguing that it was up to America to provide more aid and funding to help our “neighbors” in Mexico and Central America.

Hostin agreed, saying the problem was that the United States was not providing enough “housing” to illegal immigrants. She criticized any criticism of Biden’s handling of immigration as a right “distraction” before blaming whom? President Trump:

I think it will be one of his biggest challenges because the Trump administration left this country in such chaos, right? …[B]But when you think about that idea of children in cages, I think it’s a distraction. I think Conservatives and Republicans are using it as a talking point to somehow imply that the Trump administration’s approach has been right all along, and we know that is wrong. That approach was a disaster, it was inhuman, and the Trump administration tore children from their families, parents, guardians and then caged them. What is happening now is different.

However, I think the real problem is the lack of housing for migrants, right? So they are being held in these facilities, which are cages. They are adult cells. They shouldn’t be held there, but I believe the Biden government is determined to do it in a more humane way. There is no comparison to the way the Trump administration has dealt with this crisis on the border.

If it wasn’t absurd enough to blame the former president for the radical increase in illegal immigrants who flooded the border as soon as Biden took office, Host and Behar defended Biden’s mangled handling of the crisis:

HOSTIN: The reason there is more of a crisis is this because people knew that the Biden government would treat their children more humanely. For this reason we see an increase in migration here.

BEHAR: Right.

HOSTIN: In the migration here.

REQUIRED: That’s why they come here. It’s a problem, but I got my money on Joe Biden.

How refreshing. A president who cares more about protecting the citizens of another country than protecting his own!

Meghan McCain scoffed that her co-hosts were “just not accurate” and that drug cartels were crossing the border as well. Behar told her to give Biden a break when they went to the commercial: “Give that guy a chance. Give that guy a chance Meghan! “

After the break, the panel exploded again when Sara Haines expressed her sympathy for Biden.

“So immigration is very easy to criticize and much more difficult to fix,” Haines said before claiming President Trump had a “racist” “xenophobic” immigration policy. She argued that the Biden government was doing “a lot” and “we have to give them more than 54 days”:

There are a lot of things he’s working on. They are working on a couple of Ellis Island hubs that allow for faster processing. They are working to get more judges, social workers and definitely more housing options. They also allow some of these countries to have children apply from their country instead of going to the border, which is safer for everyone. There is a lot to do here. I think we have to give them more than 54 days.

But McCain elicited Haines’ “factually inaccurate” claim that Republicans had been silent about immigration reform for the past four years. When Haines tuned in to say she would rather “detain” children than be released to their countries, McCain replied, “I’m glad you agreed to have them held in prison-like facilities.”

The panel exploded at McCain and Behar gave the “Stop it” speech before demanding that their microphones be cut off.

JOY BEHAR: Okay. Sunny, do you think this is Biden’s biggest challenge?

SUNNY HOSTIN: I think it will be one of his biggest challenges because the Trump administration left this country in such a mess, right? So you have some kind of global pandemic that I think was the most pressing issue that I think the Biden government has now handled really, really well. But when you think about that idea of children in cages, I think it’s a distraction.

These are unaccompanied minors. These are minors without their parents, without their families, and we as mothers know that it takes a real crisis when parents travel their children and immigrate to an unknown country to have a better life, and President Biden said that this is the real core of problems; the main causes of migration are crime, corruption and poverty. These are systemic problems that we have in this country and so this is a very difficult problem.

NECESSITY: Right.

HOSTIN: And there’s a reason it’s more like a crisis – let me just put that very quickly. The reason there is more of a crisis is this because people knew that the Biden government would treat their children more humanely. For this reason we see an increase in migration here.

BEHAR: Right.

HOSTIN: In the migration here.

REQUIRED: That’s why they come here. It’s a problem, but I got my money on Joe Biden.

[cross-talk as Meghan cuts in]

MCCAIN: That’s just not true.

BEHAR: I have a feeling Joe Biden has empathy and I think he will find out …

MCCAIN: Drug cartels see the opening in this and people have to pay drug cartels

BEHAR: Maybe that’s also true.

[cross-talk]

REQUIRED: We’ll find out soon. Give that guy a chance. Give that guy a chance, Meghan. We’ll talk more about it when we get back.
