First Look At ‘Clifford The Large Crimson Canine’ Attracts Combined Critiques, However Largely Jokes – .

Paramount Pictures released the first look at the adaptation of Scholastic’s popular children’s book Clifford the Big Red Dog, and the big dog looked very red … or something close by. As soon as the teaser trailer was dropped, Twitter erupted with reactions – and not many of them were good.

Just search for “Clifford” on Twitter and you will read the many reactions that range from creepy to funny. But the only thing was the dog’s appearance. Many commented on how strange the dog looked – but mostly in the color red.

“I was trying to figure out what Clifford’s color reminded me of and I found out: a blonde person who did the Kool-Aid hair dye,” tweeted BuzzFeed reporter Caroline Haskins.

Herbert F. Solow dies: The managing director, who developed original Star Trek and senior positions at several top showbiz companies, was 88 years old

In the meantime, many people have just buried themselves in the dog’s appearance and not clung to the ridiculousness.

“If this is what Clifford looks like, what will Stitch look like?” tweeted YouTuber Kingsley.

“The CGI Clifford doesn’t look like Martin Short,” said actor James Urbaniak, referring to the 1994 comedy of the same name.

Timeless actor Malcolm Barrett cut in: “I know you think I’m kidding, but when I auditioned, I really wanted the villain role in Clifford … I really gave it my all.”

Others found the Big Red Dog’s ridiculousness just unnecessary. The author Preeti Chhibber wrote, “I can’t believe you are all cyber-bullying Clifford.”

“More people are upset about the appearance of the new Clifford the Big Red Dog than about Michael Flynn’s pardon,” tweeted RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Nina West.

The negative review for Clifford is deja vu for Paramount as they went through the same thing the first time you looked at Sonic the Hedgehog. Fans of the video game character immediately freaked out on Twitter when they saw his teeth, calling them “creepy” and “nightmarish”. This primarily caused the release to be delayed so that production can continue working on the redesign of the characters. This could well be the same situation for Clifford.

Directed by Walt Becker, Clifford plays The Big Red Dog Darby Camp as Emily Elizabeth, a middle school student Emily who meets a magical animal rescuer (John Cleese) who gives her a little red puppy. She never thought of waking up to find a giant ten-foot dog in her small apartment in New York City. While her single mother (Sienna Guillory) is out on business, Emily and her funny but impulsive Uncle Casey (Jack Whitehall) embark on an adventure on the edge of your seat.

I don’t know whether or not to be shocked that adult men get mad at what Clifford The Big Red Dog – a movie for preschoolers – looks like.
