Michael Che Jokes About NBC Trump City Corridor On Weekend Replace – .

Saturday Night Live competed against rival city halls ABC Joe Biden and NBC Donald Trump in its final episode. The show started with a cold opening, with Alex Baldwin replaying his role as a 45-year-old and Jim Carrey transforming himself into the Democratic presidential nominee and former vice president.

The jokes about the conflicting town halls also found their way into the latest installation of Weekend Update. When Michael Che brought up the NBC City Hall issue, he said Thursday’s programming should come as no surprise.

“What can we say, we have a guy,” said the comedian. A picture of Bill Cosby, Matt Lauer and Trump appeared next to Che, pointing to the men’s first two rape allegations.

Che’s joke comes after NBC received a backlash for running a town hall at the same time as Bidens on ABC, although the latter was planned first. As a result of the decision, a number of Hollywood stars, including Wanda Sykes and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, supported the NBC blackout and urged viewers to watch the ABC City Hall instead.

“Weekend Update” did not give up Trump. Sitting on the desk with Che and Colin Jost were Alex Moffat as Donald Trump Jr. and Kyle Mooney as Eric Trump. With the two on set, the segment mocked Trump’s “sarcastic” proposal to use disinfectants as a COVID-19 treatment.

Moffat’s Donald drank hand sanitizer just for Mooney’s Eric to criticize him for it.

“D.ad said it was okay, ”joked Moffat.

The “Weekend Update” segment also touched on Trump’s failure to denounce QAnon during City Hall, his surprisingly low tax returns and the president’s overcrowded rallies.
