The “guilt by association” thing is out of control. But what is it not nowadays? “Publishing professionals” reportedly tried to turn down book deals for Trump partners.
After Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube digitally murdered Trump and related content, the left took it one step further. Because anyone who supports Trump is unable to produce “legitimate” books.
Bounding Into Comics writer Spencer Baculi writes about the open letter of intent from US “members of the writing and publishing community”. Elite writers and publishers now set the rules. You are clearly playing ball with your left hand. The letter said:
We all love book publishing, but we have to be honest – in our country it is in part because publishing chased the money and notoriety of some pretty sketchy people and gave the same people the impression of both respectability and a lot of money through treasury agreements.
As members of the United States’ writing and publishing community, we affirm that participation in the administration of Donald Trump must be viewed as a unique mitigating criterion for publishers in auditing book stores.
Trump may find it difficult to publish a book in his spare time. Baucli noted that nearly 600 publishing professionals and censuses (mostly writers) have signed, including “Former DC Comics President and Editor Paul Levitz, Oni-Lion Forge Senior Editor, Amanda Meadows, Tor Books Vice President, and Patrick Editor-in-Chief Nielsen Hayden and former Star Wars writer Chuck Wending. ”
The open letter is gaining more and more signatures and has already shown that they are very serious. Senator Josh Hawley dropped his upcoming book, The Tyranny of Big Tech, by Simon & Schuster shortly after the Siege of the Capitol. Seems like Hawley said, pretty much Orwellian. 
The memorandum of understanding goes on to say, “There are laws on Sam’s son designed to prevent criminals from benefiting financially from writing about their crimes. With that in mind, those who facilitated, promulgated, and covered up crimes against the American people should not be enriched through the coffers of publishing. “Are Hillary, Biden, and Obama on that list? Your crimes will likely be excused like the other social justice warriors on the left.
In layman’s terms, any writer, editor, journalist, agent, or professional publisher should retract all attempts at book deals with “monsters” as the letter identifies them. The signatories added that “no participant in a government that caged children, performed involuntary surgeries on captive women, and made fun of science because millions were infected with a deadly virus due to the almost red size of a large bookstore should be enriched. “
The publishing industry has literally been filled with intolerant liberal crybugs lately. Company employees wept over Jordan Peterson’s new book and others tried to protest against the publication of Rowling’s newest book.
It’s a home run for the left. The main goal: total control. You manage the media, the government, and now all publications. They love to cancel what they don’t like. Check out these key recent examples: “Sullied” golf pros, “TERF” Miley Cyrus, and “Transphobe” JK Rowling. And they will no doubt try to pass again tomorrow.
Leftists live in a bubble in which all conservatives are the devil’s brood. But do not be afraid. As the signatories of the letter said, “they will do everything in our power to stop it.”
