Twitter BANS Mission Veritas and Restricts Founder O’Keefe: Report

Twitter showed its hand again. The left-wing platform has reportedly permanently banned the guerrilla journalism project Project Veritas for posting comments and personal information from a Facebook executive.

“Twitter confirms to me that Project Veritas is permanently banned (and James O’Keefe’s account is temporarily banned) due to repeated violations of the company’s anti-doxing guidelines,” tweeted CNN tech reporter Brian Fung on February 11th.

After years of allowing leaks about former President Donald Trump’s administration, such as leaked audio of former first lady Melania Trump to go viral, Twitter decided to crack down on Project Veritas and its founder James O’Keefe. “Twitter has just banned James O’Keefes and the Project Veritas account from reporting on Facebook Vice President Guy Rosen and his statements that Facebook” freezes “comments in places where algorithms believe there may be” hate speech “” , reported Project Veritas Facebook page.

According to screenshots posted on Project Veritas’ verified Telegram account, O’Keefe had raked the Facebook leadership over the coals for shady censorship:

“INTEGRITY ALERT: @Facebook Vice President @guyro REFUSES to comment when confronted by @Project_Veritas Senior Journalist Christian Hartsock
Recall that on a leaked tape, Rosen admitted that FB has a system that can freeze comments on posts that may contain hate speech. “

The Project Veritas post was included alongside footage that appeared to contain Rosen’s address number. “Project Veritas doesn’t share Rosen’s street name, city, state, or zip code,” the Daily Caller noted. “Sharing someone’s private information online without their permission, sometimes referred to as doxxing, is a violation of their privacy and Twitter rules,” according to Twitter’s “Privacy Policy”.

Project Veritas media relations manager Mario Balaban told The Daily Caller that neither Facebook nor Instagram resisted O’Keefe or Project Veritas. “It’s pretty outrageous that Twitter did this for a harmless video. It shows that Twitter and Facebook are teaming up to censor content that Americans should be watching, ”Balaban said, according to The Daily Caller.

Twitter didn’t take immediate action previously when a prominent liberal released private information.

“New York Times magazine reporter Nikole Hannah-Jones posted on Twitter the personal contact information of a reporter who asked her to comment on the newspaper’s latest internal drama,” noted Fox News in an article entitled “Nikole Hannah -Jones of the New York Times “firmly sparked backlash for ‘Doxxing’ Free Beacon reporters. The doxxed Washington Free Beacon writer stated when contacting Hannah-Jones, “She responded by posting this reporter’s request, including his cell phone number, on Twitter, in direct violation of the site’s Terms of Use.” The Washington Free Beacon editors noted, “The number was up for two days and Hannah-Jones spent it mocking Sibarium and exchanging jokes about her conduct with honest allies on social media.”
