Twitter has permanently banned President Donald Trump’s account.
There are reports that he’s now joined Parler – and Google and Apple are now both threatening to ban the entire platform.
“After carefully examining the latest tweets from the @ realDonaldTrump account and the context around them, we have permanently banned the account due to the risk of further incitement to violence,” said a statement from Twitter.

The tech giant added, “In the context of terrible events this week, we made it clear on Wednesday that additional violations of Twitter rules could potentially lead to this very course of action. They haven’t erased reports from politicians who supported and promoted the terrible riots in Black Lives Matter over the past year.
Hundreds, possibly thousands, of his followers and allies have also been banned since the 6th – including celebrities such as General Mike Flynn, Sidney Powell and Lin Wood.
On Wednesday, the big tech giants strengthened their power by issuing temporary suspensions and silencing the President of the United States. He was allowed to be back on Twitter for a short time, but his account has now been canceled.
